Car Rental

One day while my parents were visiting, we rented a car to visit some more remote places. Our first stop was a museum of viking dwellings and also saw some of the countryside. The next stop was a town called Roskilde. There is a museum containing five viking ships that were found at the bottom of the fjord. They were sunk together after the vikings in the area lost a battle.

Being a Tourist

So with my parents in Copenhagen, I got to be a tourist to some places that I did not have time to see. We went to various museums and tourist sites. I have posted some highlights of our Copenhagen adventures.

Happy New Years!

My parents arrived on New Years Eve and we celebrated with a few fireworks. I was warned that the night of New Years Eve would be crazy with fireworks. I had started hearing them go off days before but only every once in awhile. Then at exactly midnight, the chaos started. There were so many fireworks going off at one time that it woke my jet-lagged, sleeping mom. It lasted for at least an hour with too many fireworks and explosions to even distinguish one from another.

These are the boxes our big fireworks came in. It looked like a normal fountain box but big fireworks came out.
